Polymer 3D printing post-processing company DyeMansion has launched three new products at Formnext 2024 this week. The new releases, which include upgraded models of existing solutions, like the Powershot X, and a new color range, have been launched as part of DyeMansion’s latest campaign with the motto “it just WorX” and put an emphasis on efficiency and sustainability.
Powershot X for cleaning and surfacing
The first new release is the Powershot X, the next-generation in DyeMansion’s Powershot blasting series. The post-processing solution is capable of both cleaning and surfacing parts printed using SLS, SAF, MJF or HSS technologies. Those familiar with DyeMansion’s portfolio will recognize that the Powershot X actually combines different technologies—the PolyShot C and PolyShot S—into a single system. This means that users can leverage the new post-processing module for either just part cleaning, just part surfacing or a combination of the two. Notably, users can easily switch between these three modes, enabling them to adapt the post-processing solution for various workflows and production needs. DyeMansion also specifies that the highly automated Powershot X “ensures a quick ROI” thanks to both its low initial investment and ability to cut down on operational costs.
DM60 Reservoir upgraded for dyeing
DyeMansion has also taken Formnext 2024 as an opportunity to roll out an upgraded DM60 Reservoir, which is used for dyeing parts black. Upgrades to the dyeing system include built-in sensors that ensure precise water usage for each dyeing cycle no matter the batch size (from S to XL) and improvements to enhance the reuse of dyeing water. Specifically, the new system can reuse dyeing water up to 12 times, which reduces the consumption of fresh water substantially for greater sustainability. The upgraded dyeing machine also leverages residual heat from previous cycles, which can shorten processing times by up to 30%. This, in combination with less water usage, more efficient volume management and bulk pricing on black cartridges can reportedly reducing dyeing costs by over 50%.
Automotive ColorsX
Last but not least on DyeMansion’s Formnext release roster is the new Automotive ColorsX range, a series of dyes enhanced to meet the requirements of the automotive industry. The product range consists of colors with improved UV and heat resistance, with greater durability and stability. The new colors can reportedly achieve up to four times higher grey scale values according to the D47 1431 norm, which means they are more resistant to fading or changing over time and exposure to light and heat. This makes them suitable for various demanding applications, including automotive interior components. DyeMansion can also customize colors in this range to meet the specific needs of automotive clients.
DyeMansion will be showcasing the Powershot X, DM60 Reservoir and Automotive ColorsX series from today, November 19th, to the 22nd at booth C31, hall 12.1.
