Würth Additive Group to Launch Digital Inventory Services at AMUG 2025

Würth Additive Group has announced the first edition of its Digital Inventory Services (DIS) platform, officially launching on March 31, 2025, at the AMUG Conference in Chicago. The platform transitions from MVP to full functionality, providing a secure digital distribution network for additive manufacturing users. DIS operates within Würth’s existing global infrastructure and supplier network, offering tools to manage, authenticate, and deploy parts at scale.

The DIS platform stores validated manufacturing workflows including OEM-certified recipes for quality assurance and traceability. Users can securely manage digital files, oversee distributed production workflows, and monitor part availability in real time. The system incorporates encrypted authentication and controlled access to protect intellectual property while enabling just-in-time manufacturing capabilities.

“This technology supports our customers as they integrate the next generation of inventory management, with an emphasis on sustainability, security, and scalability,” said Larry Stevens, Executive Vice President of Würth Line Industry Asia-Pacific, Africa, and Americas. AJ Strandquist, CEO of Würth Additive Group, added that “DIS is purpose-built for industrial users who need reliability, flexibility, and speed.”

Würth leadership recently shared insights at Additive Manufacturing Strategies 2025 on integrating traditional supply chains with additive manufacturing technologies. The discussions addressed the secure distribution of qualified inventory, compliance in AM workflows, and the advantages of integrating DIS across legacy systems. The platform aims to help organizations align their inventory strategies with operational and sustainability goals.

AMUG 2025 attendees will be the first to access purchasing and implementation opportunities for the DIS platform. Würth Additive Group will provide on-site demonstrations and support to help users integrate digital inventory into their operations. Additional resources are available on the Digital Inventory Services Product Page for those unable to attend the conference.
